木曜日のごはん日記に、明日は朝7時から介護のお手伝いがあります、と書きましたが、
予定通り金曜日は早朝から、月に何度かお手伝いをしている80歳のおじいさまのお宅に伺いました。

私は自宅では愛犬の介護もあるので、お昼までのお約束でお手伝いをしました。

夜、約束の時間になっても連絡がこないので、どうしたのかしらとこちらから電話をすると
「現在おかけになった地域では、ネットワーク設備が故障している、
または相手の通信機器の電源が入っていないか故障していると思われます」とアナウンスが流れました。

どういうことかしら？と思い、翌日電話をしても繋がらないので、
心配になってご家族の携帯電話に連絡をすると、
「昨日の午後自宅が火事で全焼しました、父親はその中にいて他界しました」と言われて…

私がお手伝いをして帰宅し、数時間後の出来事だった様子。
おじいさまと最後に会ったのは、私ではないか、ということで、
その後色々なところから事情を聞かれて、サスペンスドラマのような一日でした。
